Born in Tacoma, Washington, Sheila is native to the West Coast and Hawaiian Isles. Her Hawaiian name is Leimomi, meaning "wreath or daughter of pearls." She graduated from the Hawaii School of History and Culture and is a designated Virginia Extension Master Gardener, granted by Virginia Polytechnic State University.
Sheila started in the veterinary industry in 1979 and has been a Village Veterinary Clinic family member for 12 plus years. She says that she learns something new each day and enjoys watching the love and care clients extend to their pet companions. At home, she enjoys chatting with her four year-old Burmese cat, Teddy Bear. Sheila is a proud matriarch of three children, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
